Round 5

1 (137). Minnesota Vikings (from Tampa Bay Buccaneers through Buffalo Bills)-Antoine Everett, OG, McNeese State

Coming from low level competition, Everett may need a year to develop and get used to the level of competition.

2 (138). Tennessee Titans-Jalston Fowler, FB, Alabama

Fowler is the best fullback in this class, he is a good blocker, can catch passes out of the backfield, run for short yardage, and play special teams.

3 (139). Jacksonville Jaguars-Robert Myers, OG, Tennessee State

The Jaguars can use some depth behind Zane Beadles and Brandon Linder.

4 (140). Oakland Raiders-Daryl Williams, OT/OG, Oklahoma

Besides center, the Raiders can use a lot of help on their line. Williams can come in and compete at right tackle or right guard.

5 (141). Washington Redskins-Taiwan Jones, ILB, Michigan State

Jones best fits in a 3-4 defense. He could be a 2 down starting linebacker.

6 (142). Chicago Bears (from New York Jets)-Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB, Washington

Kikaha had the most sacks in college football last year with 18.5 sacks, but has injury concerns.

7 (143). Denver Broncos (from Chicago Bears)-Kwon Alexander, OLB, LSU

DeMarcus Ware is getting old; in 2014 Alexander led LSU with 90 tackles.

8 (144). New York Giants-Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame

Larry Donnell's play tailed off at the end of the season and Adrien Robinson never lived up to the hype last year.

9 (145). Philadelphia Eagles (from St. Louis Rams)-Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn

Coates will probably be selected earlier due to his size, speed, and potential, but his inability to catch the ball could stop him from being a top receiver.

10 (146). Atlanta Falcons-Mark Glowinski, OG, West Virginia

After switching over from tackle, Glowinski was dominant in the run game.

11 (147). Cleveland Browns-Trey Flowers, DE/OLB, Arkansas

Led Arkansas in tackles for loss, with 15.5 and sacks, with 6.

12 (148). New Orleans Saints-Xavier Williams, DT, Northern Iowa

The Saints need help on their defensive line and Williams can contribute right away as a rotational player.

13 (149). Miami Dolphins (from Minnesota Vikings)-Charles Gaines, CB, Louisville

Gaines is an ex-wide receiver and can compete for playing time with Jamar Taylor, Will Davis, Zack Bowman, and Brice McCain.

14 (150). Miami Dolphins-Hayes Pullard, ILB, USC

Joe Philbin loves Koa Misi at inside linebacker, but as Philbin could be gone after this season, Dennis Hickey and Mike Tannenbaum may be looking for Misi's future replacement.

15 (151). San Francisco 49ers-Bryce Hager, ILB, Baylor

After Patrick Willis and Chris Borland both retired, the 49ers will need more depth at inside linebacker.

16 (152). Houston Texans-Terrell Watson, RB, Azusa Pacific

Watson is a big back who over the last two seasons had over 4,000 rushing yards and 52 rushing touchdowns.

17 (153). San Diego Chargers-Kenny Bell, WR, Nebraska

Keenan Allen is the only starting quality receiver on the roster and Bell can come in and make big plays.

18 (154). New Orleans Saints (from Kansas City Chiefs)-Brandon Bridge, QB, South Alabama

Drew Brees only has a couple more good years in him and they should try to groom an eventual replacement.

19 (155). Buffalo Bills-Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB, Louisville

Rex Ryan will want as many weapons as he can on the front seven and Mauldin can rush the passer.

20 (156). Philadelphia Eagles-Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas

Diggs is a little on the short side and may be forced to be only a nickel cornerback.

21 (157). Cincinnati Bengals-Jake Ryan, OLB, Michigan

The Bengals can use an upgrade over Emmanuel Lamur and Jake Ryan can come in and compete.

22 (158). Baltimore Ravens (from Detroit Lions)-Craig Mager, CB, Texas State

Four year starter who had 8 career interceptions.

23 (159). Arizona Cardinals-Jordan Hicks, OLB, Texas

Hicks has a ton of potential and Bruce Arians has done a great job of developing young players.

24 (160). Pittsburgh Steelers-Kevin White, CB, TCU

Always guarded the best receiver in college and also had a great Senior Bowl.

25 (161). Carolina Panthers-Tye Smith, CB, Towson

The Panthers need a lot of cornerback help and Smith is a physical corner who can play boundary.

26 (162). Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from Baltimore Ravens)-Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas

Lewis had a very good combine and has good size. He has good hands and can play in the slot.

27 (163). Dallas Cowboys-Mike Hull, ILB/OLB, Penn State

Will at worst be a key special teamer with a chance to be a starter.

28 (164). Denver Broncos-Bryan Bennett, QB, Southeastern Louisiana

Peyton Manning's career is coming to a close and they should try to develop a quarterback to try and compete with Brock Osweiler for the backup job and maybe eventually the starting job.

29 (165). Indianapolis Colts-B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State

Finney can come in and compete for the starting job right away.

30 (166). Green Bay Packers-Anthony Chickillo, DE, Miami

Chickillo underperformed at Miami, but that was due to the fact that Al Golden does not develop his players. He should be a much better pro than college player.

31 (167). Seattle Seahawks-Chad Hamilton, OT/OG, Coastal Carolina

Hamilton might even be able to play center. He will give the Seahawks great depth if he can play all five positions on the line.

32 (168). Detroit Lions (from New England Patriots through Tampa Bay Buccaneers)-Tony Lippett, WR, Michigan State

Lippett may move to cornerback. If he stays at wide receiver, he can be a good number two or three option, but if he moves to cornerback, he has the potential to be a Pro Bowler.

33 (169). Carolina Panthers (compensatory selection)-Durell Eskridge, S, Syracuse

Eskridge would have been better off if he stayed in college one more year, but he is a very good tackler who will not give up a lot of big plays.

34 (170). Seattle Seahawks (compensatory selection)-Lynden Trail, DE/OLB/TE, Norfolk State

The ex-Florida Gator lit it up at Norfolk State, but he is still very raw. The Seahawks could try to develop him on defense or play him in two tight end sets with Jimmy Graham.

35 (171). Baltimore Ravens (compensatory selection)-Markus Golden, DE/OLB, Missouri

The Ravens are always looking for guys who can get to the quarterback and Golden had 10 sacks last year.

36 (172). Kansas City Chiefs (compensatory selection)-Zack Hodges, OLB, Harvard

Justin Houston is playing this year on the franchise tag and they may not reach a long term deal. Tamba Hali is on the downside of his career. They could develop Hodges for a year as he may not be ready to contribute on defense a rookie.

37 (173). Kansas City Chiefs (compensatory selection)-Tyler Varga, RB/FB, Yale

The Chiefs need a power back to complement Jamaal Charles.

38 (174). Carolina Panthers (compensatory selection)-Nick O'Leary, TE, Florida State

He is a good blocker and will be a good number two tight end behind Greg Olsen.

39 (175). Houston Texans (compensatory selection)-Jamil Douglas, OG, Arizona State

The Texans need more depth at guard and Douglas can compete for a starting spot.

40 (176). Baltimore Ravens (compensatory selection)-Connor Halliday, QB, Washington State

After Tyrod Taylor left, the Ravens need a backup quarterback. They signed Matt Schaub, but he is not a good backup anymore. Halliday had had over 8,400 passing yards the last two seasons and 66 passing touchdowns over that span.
